WHAT TO EXPECT
A Harvest Festival is a time to give thanks for God for all the blessings he has shown especially the gifts of food and produce. We take this time to reflect on the richness of our lives and bring gifts for the North Dorset Women’s Refuge as a practical demonstration of our concern for those who lives are in need of some help.
There is a gathering time between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM when the children engage with craft activities and the grownups drink coffee and chat. The service consists of hymns (often traditional ones like “We plough the fields and scatter”), a reading, an interactive talk, and lasts about 30 minutes. We have a bring and share lunch after the service.
